In this role, you will serve as the main contact for the HRN Resource Center, coordinating with partners to ensure equitable supply and water distribution. You will maintain and enhance the inventory database by integrating partner tracking, identify gaps, and streamline resource distribution. You will support smooth operations and improve tracking systems, along with other duties as assigned to support MCDPH Heat Relief Program.

CHNA 5.0 Qualitative Intern
The intern will support CHNA 5.0 qualitative projects, including analysis of open-ended Community Survey responses and conducting key informant interviews and focus groups. Responsibilities include developing materials, coordinating recruitment, facilitating key informant interviews and focus groups, qualitative coding in Dedoose, and contributing to analytic summaries and reports that inform community health priorities.

Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA)
The CHNA intern will support a critical component of the 2026 CHNA through directly collecting survey data through identifying, preparing for, and staffing community events. The survey will be launched from February-April 2026. This is a great opportunity for individuals with strong communication looking for experience in data collection, needs assessments, community engagement, and event planning.

Community Health Improvement Plan Intern
The intern will work with the Community Health Development team within the Maricopa County Department of Public Health (MCDPH). This includes supporting initiatives related to the Health Improvement Partnership of Maricopa County (HIPMC), the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), and the Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA).
This internship will provide a robust experience in multiple aspects of community health development, with opportunities for both in-person and virtual engagement.
