Create tools to support consistent, compliant contract development by building a crosswalk of RFP language across major funding sources and assembling a reference menu of approved clauses.
Ability in the English language is required for this position.
The HOPE Division seeks a Public Health Contract Policy Intern to develop tools that strengthen contract consistency, clarity, and compliance. This project focuses on reviewing language from previously issued public health RFPs funded by diverse sources, such as OD2A, Ryan White, BOLD, and Juul settlement funds. The intern will develop a crosswalk that compares standard language across these sources and will assemble a menu of pre-approved clauses related to key areas like contract monitoring, compensation, and allowable costs.
This position is well-suited for a detail-oriented graduate student with interest in health policy, public administration, or government procurement. Strong research, technical writing, and document analysis skills will be essential.
Intern DELIVERABLES include a reference crosswalk matrix and a structured language menu tool for use by County staff drafting future RFPs. This internship provides exposure to public sector compliance requirements and hands-on experience with grant and contract development.
