This position will support event planning and implementation of several major events to promote a resilient, engaged, and thriving workforce, including THRIVES webinar series, Wellness in-person events, and new employee activities.
The People and Culture Team is a MCDPH Team focused on internal priorities like staff wellness, process improvement, training and development, and Department infrastructure. The team applies organizational excellence strategies such as project management, continuous improvement, and intentional centering of equity principles. The intern will support the ongoing work of the People & Culture Team. During the internship period, the intern will support event planning and implementation of several major events to promote a resilient, engaged, and thriving workforce, including THRIVES webinar series, Wellness in-person events, and new employee activities. The intern will also support the implementation of a Health Equity infrastructure project, Health Equity Channel meetings, and other internal projects to train staff in health equity skills. There will also be opportunities to attend current THRIVES events, participate in team meetings, participate in available training opportunities (including health equity trainings), and join our small P&C team.
